There may be a one or two of you out there a wee bit envious of my latest Value Village find, but I just couldn’t leave these completely kitsch ceramic owl lamps behind. For only 12$ each, and in full working order, this pair has real potential!
Whimsy. Wit. Style. All in a trip to the thrift shop…
When the time is right, these babies are going to meet a can of glossy white spray paint, inspired by a few pricier versions below.

Looks like they’re aleady wired and ready for you to transform them… very fun!

I remember reading an article in Style At Home a while back about spray painting ceramic pieces white to give them a more modern, sculptural look. It’s a great idea, and I’m sure your owls will look great once you’re done

Thank you! I won’t get at it anytime soon, as I’m still in the planning stages for my room redo, but I’ll keep you up to date.

White paint for sure. I couldn’t agree more. And who knows…they may turn out terrible, although I just can’t imagine how.
Anyway, I do think that even the most boring interiors can be elevated with just a touch of whimsy. Too much though, and you’ve got a disaster on your hands…
Stay tuned.

Owls are great, but I prefer crows myself.
