I’m overwhelmed. Sometimes, Ottawa just offers too much!
I’ve been stuck at home for a week tending to my little girlaboutOtown who suffered the flu, and this weekend I too came down with the dreaded swine-like symptoms.
At the best of times, things are pretty busy with the job, the blog, the girl, my classes, the fella and the family, but an extra dose of ill health completely throws me off my game.
All of this, and so much happening around Otown simultaneously. I feel almost uncomfortable about all that I’m missing…
Ideally, I:
- Should have seen Silver Starling at Canteen Art Shop + Gallery’s very cool new Bands Undone series, because man – they sound good!
- Should have remembered to get tickets to Ottawa’s first TEDx event. (Ugh. This is particularly disappointing. I may just have to crash the evening cocktail which is open to those who missed tickets.)
- Should be following the fate of Lansdowne Park more carefully.
- Should not have missed last week’s Ignite Ottawa an evening of eclectic insight, Connect the Dots for women entrepreneurs, or the Timeraiser!
- Should be adding more Ottawa blogs like Ottawa Tonite and LineBox Studio to my blogroll.
- Should definitely get to Spacing Magazine’s launch of their new spacingottawa.ca blog at the Cube Gallery this upcoming Wednesday the 18th.
Phew.
It’s hard to sit still…

I was away for only four days and I have a lot of catching up to do too. It’s a good sign for Ottawa. Things are happening

Welcome back! It is indeed a good sign…even if it is hard to keep up with. Are you going to the spacingottawa.ca event? I unfortunately won’t be able to, but look forward to reading reports!
