This week, the fella was invited to a holiday party at the office which is coming up pretty fast.
It’s a new gig for him and a new group of people, but it seems as though this seasonal shindig is a genuine gathering for grownups.
For those of you who work where I do, this is not the kind of party we’re used to. This isn’t an afternoon social in the boardroom with brownies and boxed coffee, or a lunchtime trek for Thai food, or even a pleasant early evening potluck that ends well before bedtime.
Nope. Instead, we’re going to the kind of party where drinks are involved & dinner is served, and where people actually dress up & stay out late!
Not since my days as a staffer have I had occasion to make an effort, and I must say I relish the thought of taking things up a notch.
Because I will be meeting bigwigs for the first time, I am aiming to impress.
In real life I won’t be sporting Valentino or Louboutin, but in my books there is still nothing better than a little black dress!

The jacket is fantastic and so are the pearls. I love the whole look! Very well done. I might just use this as inspiration for my holiday party look!
