While listening to CBC Radio one day, I heard the expression earworm, which was used to describe that all too familiar feeling of having a song stuck in your head. The earworm, it was explained, burrows into your brain and stays there unwilling to inch it’s way out until it has eaten up all of the other tunes that might be floating around.
Well, this lovely little “countdown” critter has been making it’s way through my mind this fine evening, and for good reason. Tonight is “T minus 1″, and the song inside me is sounding louder!
