Pip Pip Cheerio! Brilliantly outfitted in ever-so-lovely summer dresses, two of my favourite ladies and I had tea at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier yesterday. How delightfully fun and fabulous! Having grown up in Ottawa, and having been to the “Chateau” many times, I had never partaken in the tradition of Afternoon Tea, which is still served daily. While we were celebrating an occasion, no excuse is really necessary for indulging in such a pleasing and delicious digression from the ordinary. Go with your family, with your friends, or just take yourself…but go, and revel in the history of the hotel, the grandeur of the space and the elegance of the custom.
