i love eye candy – even if it’s bad, i love a movie set in new york with beautiful people and beautiful things, living a super-cool life (can’t think of any specific titles right now, sorry!)
i pretty much like anything, though have to get dragged to action movies when it’s my husbands turn to pick. oh, i don’t do horror very well.
Scorcese. The best. All of them (esp. Goodfellows).

You’ve got some great ones on the list! I think my faves are Quirky and Mockumentary. Have you seen Lars and The Real Girl? Worth a watch — quirky, funny and impactful all in one.

We have a whole category in our house devoted to Football movies. I get my husband one for Christmas each year, and some are really good. (It helped me realize the NFL is a soap opera for men with a game thrown in every Sunday!)

Some of our favorites are:

Any Given Sunday
We Are Marshall

I loved Dave and still watch whenever it pops onto TV.

girlaboutOtown celebrates courage, change and community in Canada’s capital. Whatever your perspective, Faisal is someone from Ottawa who is doing things differently. In my books, that in and of itself is worth noting.

6. Mockumentaires (appeals to the sarcastic persona)

9. Epic Intergallactic battles (nerds unite)

Perhaps the best part of the Oscars is shared with the Super Bowl, the commercials tend to be really well done.

I tend to like a couple of others;

Just plain quirky; Brazil, Year of the dog, Being John Malkovich

Impact Films; Life is Beautiful, Apollo 13
