As your dedicated design coach, I run you through our innovative ‘Design Thinking for Home Buyers Workshop’ to decipher your individual pursuits, daily patterns, and style preferences and to examine how these might be impacted in your next space.
Your workshop responses are translated into a personalized set of ‘Crib Notes’. Together, we work through these to help you identify your most compelling priorities before you go shopping for a property.
You are empowered, you are confident, and you are focused on your transition – not just the transaction. The house hunt begins, with Malcolm as your personal guide.
Eventually, the time will come to decide between your buying options. If you like what you see and you’re ready to commit, Malcolm helps you seal the deal.
However, if you come across a not-so-perfect property with some serious potential, your dedicated design coach can also help you contemplate how to customize before you decide to buy.
Prior to making an offer on a specific property, I provide an Onsite Upcycle Consultation and coordinate the visit with a preferred general contractor. After we’ve envisioned upgrades, and discussed them with the contractor, you are armed with a reliable estimate of the costs involved in personalizing the property to your taste. Then, you’re ready to talk to your lender about financing the upgrades as part of the purchase. This is where Malcolm steps in again.
Whatever you decide to do, closing day is just the beginning. As your dedicated design coach, I am there to help you follow through and make yourself at home.
Once you’ve settled in and when you’re ready, you are invited to take advantage of my one hour ‘Remix Consultation’. Figure out your furniture placement, maximize the flow, and take in a few decorating tips tailored to your taste.

If you decide on a property in need of a fix, I am available to work with you through the entire process from start to finish. As design coach, liaison and knowledgeable resource, I am happy to assist you in achieving your vision by providing advice on space planning, layout, lighting, and the selection of fixtures, finishes, colours, fabrics and furniture.
DIY Design Planning:
If your chosen property is in move-in condition, but you still think there is room for improvement, I can help you refine your ideas into a plan. After an initial in-home discussion, I get to work pulling together the elements, sourcing products and suggesting colours, finishes and furniture. I present you all the details accompanied by a visual inspiration board, and you execute the plan at your own pace.
